Circuit Training is an experimental 12-16-piece ensemble and workshop project including musicians of the Berlin Echtzeit & experimental music scenes. It first came together in 2013 on an initiative of Ignaz Schick and has developed and been built up from a quintet to the current line-up. It resembles musicians and composers from diverse styles of exploratory music such as Free Improvisation/ Echtzeitmusik, New Jazz, Noise, Contemporary Music, Electro-Acoustic Music or Electronica. We usually meet once or twice a year to work on and perform conceptual/graphic scores and other experimental pieces written by some of the ensemble members for the collective. So far we have held 18 different Circuit Training events at such places as Theaterkapelle, Friedenskirche, Emmauskirche, Kühlspot Social Club, Galiläkirche and Wabe in Berlin. In 2017 we organized a two day Circuit Training Festival and since 2018 we ensemble in residence at the Kuehlspot Social Club Berlin.
